TERMS & CONDITIONS

THE TYRESTORE ROADSHIELD WARRANTY IS A COMPREHENSIVE PACKAGE OF LIMITED WARRANTIES AND SERVICES OFFERED TO TYRESTORE* END CONSUMERS** (“YOU/YOUR”). PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. CONTINENTAL MAY REVISE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS FROM TIME TO TIME.

TYRESTORE ROADSHIELD WARRANTY The Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty covers Continental TechContact Gold (TCGold) tyres that are:

(a) newly purchased tyres;

(b) operated in normal service (i.e., for its manufactured purpose);

(c) purchased from participating tyre dealers.

Road Hazard Warranty: Warranty against unrepairable road hazard damages such as impact and/or cut damage (tread, shoulder, and/or sidewall), and/or penetration by sharp thin objects, and/or damage through deep cuts (moisture-oxidation).

ELIGIBILITY A minimum of two (2) tyres must be purchased in a single receipt to be eligible for the Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty.

REGISTRATION Tyres must be registered for the Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty within seven (7) days from the date of purchase. Registration after the 7-day period will not be accepted.

Each tyre is required to be registered under the Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty program. The registration should be completed by either the participating tyre dealers or you and should include the mandatory information set out as a minimum requirement. Mandatory requirements are – computer-generated invoice, customer personal contact information, tyre size, and tyre pattern.

Important: All participating tyre dealers are independent contractors and not agents/employees of Tyrestore. Tyrestore assumes no liability for any damage to your vehicle resulting from the rendering of service or for personal items left in the vehicle. Any claims for personal injury or damage to the property must be submitted to the retailer directly.

By providing your personal data and submitting the same, you shall be deemed to be giving consent to the collection, storage, and/or processing of your personal data pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and any other data protection regulations/legislations.

COVERAGE Other than the excluded conditions listed in Section 5, the Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty covers unrepairable tyre damage within twelve (12) months from the date of purchase or minimum 5mm of tread remaining (whichever comes first) - you may exchange the affected tyre(s) for new Continental TCGold tyres of the same dimension and pattern, from the participating tyre dealers.

Charges for fitment, balancing, and alignment are not included and shall be borne by you.

The Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty coverage is limited only to the first set of newly purchased tyres and NOT on the replaced tyres.

You are required to pay for any/all price differences if the replacement tyres are an upgrade to the originally fitted tyres.

There is NO mileage limit within this warranty.

Evidence of tyres:

Tyrestore requires the retailer to provide or upload evidence that the tyre(s) have been taken out of service once they are removed from the vehicle. This evidence includes: (a) whole tyre; (b) D.O.T. serial number; (c) remaining tread depth; (d) damaged areas of tyres.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED BY THE TYRESTORE ROADSHIELD WARRANTY

• Damage caused by all kinds of abrasion road hazards that do not cause unrepairable structural damage.
• Any wear caused by improper application and non-recommended balancing and alignments.
• All types of repairable damages (penetration damage – A tyre is considered unrepairable if the size of the puncture diameter is more than or equal to 6 mm, or puncture area is at the sidewall and/or shoulder of the tyre). Puncture repairs are limited to the center of the tread area.
• Improper tyre inflation and/or improper load/speed practices.
• Other Exclusions or Damages due to:
  • Rim irregularities and rim damage.
  • Vehicle mechanical failure including brake problems, etc.
  • Negligent and abusive driving such as tyre spinning or racing.
  • Improper tyre storage.
  • Vehicle collision accidents, flood, fire, war, sonic booms, nuclear radiation.
  • Excessive exposure to high temperatures.
  • Overloading, racing, competition, modifications of any sort.
  • Chemical corrosion.
  • Not recommended usage by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • Misuse or misapplication.
  • Improper mounting and demounting.
  • Improper tyre maintenance such as balancing, rotation, and inflation.
  • Alteration (such as but not limited to):
    • Thread grooving.
    • Tyre truing or siping.
    • Adding sealant other than the original sealant supplied by the tyre manufacturer to the tyre.
• The replacement of accessories and adjustment items such as but not limited to valves, tyre balancing, and alignments.
• Defects or damage in existence prior to the commencement of the policy.
• Any incidental and consequential damage such as telephone calls, towing, car rental charges, hotel charges, loss of time, commercial loss.
• Vandalized tyres.
• Spare tyres.
• Improper stud size and/or installation.
• Commercial service***
• Original Equipment (OE) tyres.
• Out of warranty tyres as per the warranty policy stated on Continental’s official website (https://www.continental-tyres.com.my/car/tyres-warranty/warranty-policy).
• Failure to observe safety and maintenance precautions set forth on Continental’s website – https://www.continental-tires.com/my/en/b2c/tire-knowledge.html.

Tyrestore will honour warranty claims that meet the guidelines outlined in this Terms and Conditions. All warranty claims will be assessed by Tyrestore’s Technical Customer Service team, and final decisions will be made by this team. Tyre replacement will be made by participating tyre dealers.

To make an eligible claim under this Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty, you must present a claim with the tyre to a participating tyre dealers. Any case filed by either you or the participating tyre dealers, is considered complete only after participating tyre dealer diagnosed the physical affected tyre and submitted all supporting tyre evidence 

About Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty (TRW)

What is TRW? Tyrestore RoadShield Warranty (TRW) is a comprehensive package of all available warranties and services. Eligible tyres are covered by the Road Hazard Warranty within 12 months from the date of purchase.

What protection does TRW offer? TRW includes road hazard protection for any unrepairable damages such as pothole damage, punctures by sharp objects, and damages caused by bad road conditions. All intentional damages will not be covered. For more information, please refer to the Terms & Conditions.

TRW warranty period Valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase or remaining tread depth exceeding 5mm.

Any minimum tyre purchase to enjoy TRW? A minimum purchase of 2 pieces of Continental TCGold tyres in a single receipt is required.

Are all Continental tyres applicable to this TRW program? No. TRW is applicable only for the Continental TCGold range. Commercial use and Original Equipment (OE) fitment tyres are excluded from this TRW program.

Any vehicle restrictions? TRW is open to all passenger cars, SUVs, 4x4s, and MPVs. Commercial use and Original Equipment (OE) fitment tyres are excluded from this TRW program.
